GREENCASTLE – Mrs. Nanny Susie Moore, 82, died at 3 a.m. Sunday at the Craver Nursing Home in Greencastle where she had been an invalid patient eight years. She was born Oct. 31, 1882, at Bent Mountain, Va., to Samuel and Sara Henry. She married Ruben Moore Jan. 18, 1900, at Blackwater, Va. He preceded her in death in 1911. Also preceding her were an infant son and two daughters. Mrs. Moore moved to Indiana in 1912. She was a member of the Ladoga Brethren Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Rena Strain of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Edith Johnson of Cloverdale and Mrs. Margie Welch of Lafayette; three sons, Ira and Howard, both of Greencastle, and Carl of Rt. 7 Crawfordsville; five brothers, Terry of Parisburg, Va., Ezra of Bent Mountain, Va., James of Bainbridge and Samuel and Benjamin, both of Greencastle; a sister, Mrs. Edward Butler of Salem, Va.; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hopkins-Walton Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Rev. Albehrt Harshbarger will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday. – jlr
